On the 1st June 2008, Bob Jones from Shark Finesse along with two team mates embarked on an epic adventure. Team 3 Amigos, along with 60 other teams, drove over 2000 miles from Kathmandu in Nepal to Pondicherry in southern India in nothing more than an Auto Rickshaw.
The Rickshaw Run is an annual event organised by the The Adventurists. Each team is given a Rickshaw and 2 weeks to get from start to finish using a route of their choice.
Shark Finesse sponsored team 3 Amigos to complete this adventure. The team raised over £1000 for:
Mercy Corps in India who are working in India to build community collaboration and fulfill dire health and economic needs.
Frank Water Projects who are working in partnership with Water Health International and Naandi (local NGO) to fund and implement community clean water projects.
The team successfully completed the journey in 2185 miles and took twelve days. Along the way they broke down many times, got stuck up mountains, enlisted the help of the locals, drank tea, and collided with trucks but successfully reached Pondicherry on the 13th June 2008.
